Junior
Bright sparks and curious minds – the adventure starts here
Meteorologist or Musketeer, coder or composer, we spark imagination and create self-starters, whether in the classroom or our Dragon’s Den. Think like an engineer or think like no one else, Putney is the beginning of a lifelong learning journey.
Going Beyond
Putney pupils are bold and curious. Our ethos of ‘Modern Scholarship’ makes learning both exciting and relevant.
Year 1 Meteorologists go on to become Year 6 Innovators and from our ‘Fearless Girls’ to ‘Phenomenal Women’ events there’s a real appetite for learning. We even have mini-PIE – that’s our ‘Putney Ideas Exchange’ speaker programme, plenty of food for thought!
Fun & Friendship
Kindness, security and genuine friendships make Putney a happy and positive place to be. We are inclusive, down to earth and we celebrate our differences.
Sport is for everyone and learning is about more than just lessons. There are over 70 different activities and clubs to enjoy, from Chess to Coding, Musketeers to Musical Theatre. Whether you’re fantastic at football or a beginner at lacrosse, join in, get fit and have fun!
Kindness & Community
We share our talents and our time, whether we are reading to the elderly over the phone or raising funds for charity. Our green-fingered allotmenteers bring new meaning to ‘growing up’ and our biophilic classroom design helps us put wellbeing at the centre of every school day.
Future Thinking
The Junior Innovation Hub is a centre for coding, robotics and even green screen and whether they’re “Thinking like an Engineer”, building cars or simply confidence, our pupils put their problem-solving hats on from an early age.
From fledgling business challenges to pitching ideas in our own Dragon’s Den, Putney’s Ignite programme sparks early ideas on what the future could hold.
